SNO at last acquired its own boatyard. Situated on the seafront, within the Port of Olbia (in an area called Cala Saccaia), the yard’s 5000m2 of indoor storage and 5000m2 of outdoor space allowed the company to expand its storage capacity yet further and to become increasingly specialised in its operations. In this way, it succeeded in making a name for itself in the nautical world, fast becoming a serious competitor to the other boatyards along the Costa Smeralda. The company’s consolidation as a specialist boatyard was matched by the growth of SNO as a boat dealer. Having become the Italian importer of another American brand – LUHRS Yachts – SNO also went on to acquire the contract as the main Sardinian dealership for the Italian ‘Cranchi’ brand.
