Despite all of these changes, the Costa Smeralda boatyards remained at the heart of sailing in the Tyrrhenian Sea area, thanks – in great part – to the wealth of expertise and experience built up by the personnel in those yards. SNO was appointed to run the Porto Cervo boatyard, and soon opened a sales office within the site. Poltu Quatu is also considered an important location for yachting in Sardinia and, for that reason, SNO also opened a servicing centre there in 2004, complete with a 30-tonne crane and point of sale.
